Tribute Tuesday! This is a piece I did for the now defunct Repaneled Blog. I redrew a panel from Thor #366 in which Thor has been transformed into a frog. You can purchase the original artwork for this for $75. (You can see the work as it actually appears here)

I love the wobbly look of hand-lettered text in a comic book, but I wanted to also mimic the Windsor font for my album liner notes. So I arranged everything in Illustrator and printed it off. Then I printed it and put it under a sheet of Bristol Board and traced the basic form while also looking at the reference text on my computer screen.
Took four times as long as 'shoping the text in, but worth it for the look I'm going for.
